To accommodate the high demand, members-only registration for the following categories will begin as noted:

Studio School and Art History Classes (ages 16+)

William "Chan" Hall is a smooth jazz recording artist based in RVA. His band is returning to Jazz Café with a “multiplex of genres from swing to blues to contemporary jazz.” Featuring Chan Hall on keyboard, Zion Charity on bass guitar, Brian Johnson on drums, and Richard D’Abreu on sax.

SWB3 is an organ-styled trio presenting classics from Larry Young, Quincy Jones, Jimmy Smith, John Scofield, Duke Ellington, Keith Jarrett, and more—plus their own original compositions. Don't miss out when guitarist John Bradberry, keyboardist Ben White, and drummer Kelli Strawbridge bring the heat!

Laura Ann Singh is a multilingual American singer, recording artist, and composer often associated with Brazilian popular music and Latin boleros. She has performed in Europe, Russia, and South America, as well as U.S. venues such as NYC's Globalfest and NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts. Her repertoire includes music from women composers, jazz standards, and her original compositions. Joining her band is world-renowned pianist/composer/arranger Marlysse Simmons.


Dominion Energy Jazz Café | VCU Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra

Founded in 2022, the VCU Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra studies and plays the vast repertoire of large-ensemble music from Cuban, Puerto Rican, and American artists such as Mario Bauza, Dizzy Gillespie, Chico O’Farrill, and Eddie Palmieri. Dr. Dimitrije Vasiljević directs this jazz orchestra, which is made up of students in the VCUarts Department of Music.

The Lawrence Olds Band interprets the American songbook and old-school blues. Don't miss the chance to see compositions by Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, and Duke Ellington brought back to the stage with one of Richmond’s favorite ensembles! Featuring Charlie Kilpatrick on keyboard, Randall Pharr on bass, Aaron Binder on drums, and Lawrence Olds on vocals.
