Celebrate this groundbreaking, internationally renowned photographer and painter whose remarkable career spans over six decades. Presenting 63 photographs and 9 paintings by the Richmond native, born in 1924, this is the first major exhibition to explore the trajectory of her impressive career.

Celebrating its sixth year, RVA Community Makers is an annual community-activated art project presented by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and led by artists Hamilton Glass. The yearly project honors African American leaders from a variety of fields. This year’s project features artwork by Unicia Buster.
