The handles of this tureen represent two mythical sea creatures, Triton and Nereid, twisting in energetic opposition to each other above the turbulent waves. With its monumental scale and spiraling composition, this tureen transcends its function as a mere container for soup and becomes, instead, sculpture for the table.
