Upside Marketing, The Verses Crew, and Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) are teaming up to celebrate the museum’s exhibition Posing Beauty with a day party mixer called “Shades of Beauty.” The mixer features music by Verses DJ Rich Simms, artwork by Verses resident artist Reshada Pullen-Jireh, and performances by international poet and Juilliard School poetry professor Samantha Thornhill, Verses crew members: Nikkea Smithers, writer and published author, Ayo M. Morton, writer and published author, Anoma-Lee “Narrator” Jones, poetry slam champion, and Roscoe Burnems, writer, slam champion, and author. Musical performances by Richmond’s own Anhayla and Washington DC’s singing duo BOOMscat!
