VMFA'S LESLIE CHEEK THEATER

In this intimate view of Ansel Adams, Stillman draws on her experiences managing the sales of hundreds of his photographs, editing his writings, organizing his archive, and accompanying him on extensive travels. She will share anecdotes of Ansel’s early life in San Francisco where he wrestled with the decision to pursue a career as a pianist or as a photographer of America’s wild places.

This program is being recorded and will be posted to the VMFA YouTube channel at a later date. Masks are required of all participants, regardless of vaccination status, while in Leslie Cheek Theater. Please read more about our COVID-19 protocols here.
