Join artist Tsherin Sherpa and Dr. John Henry Rice, curator of Tsherin Sherpa: Spirits, for a special conversation and participatory ceremony. Hear more about Sherpa’s inspirations for his sculptural installation Wish-Fulfilling Tree—including Tibetan Buddhist offering mandalas. Masks are required in the Cheek Theater.
After the conversation in the Cheek Theater concludes, audience members will gather on the Pauley Terrace of the Robins Sculpture Garden to take part in the ceremonial disposal of the wishes that visitors have been adding to the installation throughout the exhibition.
In the case of inclement weather: The ceremonial portion will be held on Fri, Sep 16 at 10 am in the Robins Sculpture Garden; no tickets required.
Masks are required in the Cheek Theater.
