Celebrate Historic Garden Week by exploring the rich history and architecture of the grounds of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

Trunk Shows

The VMFA Shop is committed to showcasing Virginia artisans’ work. In addition to offering the work of up to 40 of these artisans in the Shop at any given time, we also feature them in our Trunk Shows, where you’ll find the finest one-of-kind jewelry, glass, ceramics, wood-turned and carved items, scarves, handbags, leather goods, accessories, home décor, and more.

Join us for the second annual Holiday Bazaar in the Pauley Center near our popular tearoom, Floris at VMFA. This holiday-shopping extravaganza will feature multiple holiday themes, several decorated trees, local artisan gifts, and plenty of festive décor. VMFA members will receive 10% discount on purchases. 

Plan your shopping trip to include reservations in Floris, open Sat–Wed, 11:30 am–4:30 pm (a la carte and happy hour offerings begin at 2:30 pm for walk-ins).

Join us for a holiday pop-up with Jason McLeod, who makes all his jewelry by hand in his Charlottesville studio. McLeod is assisted by several jewelers that he himself trained. The pieces are hand-fabricated using many traditional techniques, including forming, chasing, engraving, soldering, polishing, and stone setting.

See Fabergé and Russian Decorative Arts Collection Like Never Before

After an international tour, VMFA’s renowned collection of Fabergé returns to the museum. Five new galleries have been prepared to showcase 280 Fabergé objects and other Russian decorative arts. The galleries feature both innovative displays and a range of interactive components designed to inform, engage, and delight.

 


The Rachel Lambert Mellon Collection of Jean Schlumberger

Artist-jeweler Jean Schlumberger transformed 20th-century fashion with his sculptural designs for vibrant and whimsical jewelry and accessories inspired by nature. From crafting costume jewelry for designer Elsa Schiaparelli in 1930s Paris to heading his own private salon at New York’s Tiffany & Co.
