Laura Lee Gulledge is an Eisner Award nominated cartoonist, teaching artist, musical librettist, and collaborative muralist based in Charlottesville, VA. Her books exploring mental wellness + creative expression include YA graphic novels The Dark Matter of Mona Starr, Page by Paige, Will & Whit, and the interactive Sketchbook Dares: 24 Ways to Draw Out Your Inner Artist. (Abrams Books) Laura Lee explores visual storytelling at the intersection of co-creation, whimsy, neurodiversity, and citizen artistry. She was the inaugural graduate from the MA program in Art Education at James Madison University and has since “Artnered” with thousands of youths on sharing their stories.
