Take a Closer Look

Photographs are an art form that often documents and interprets moments in time. For students of history, thoughtfully examining a photograph from over a century ago can provide a window into the past and provide insight into how an artist was responding to the world around him.  Students are able to activate prior knowledge while developing insight into historical perspectives.

Use this interactive exercise to set the stage for a Distance Learning session, or for continued engagement after a visit.
