ca. early 5th century BC
Etruscan (Vulci)
copper alloy
Overall: 2 3/4 × 2 3/4 in. (6.99 × 6.99 cm)
This relief of a feline attacking a deer was designed for a rod tripod similar to the example in this case. The edges indicate that it was broken, perhaps in preparation for melting down the bronze for reuse.
