Throughout her career Ferrill has focused on elements of performance in widely disparate contexts, from dance clubs to religious services. In 2017.196-198, Ferrill conveys the spiritual state of the subjects by emphasizing the position of their arms and hands. Fallen Man features a person lying on a sidewalk, dejected, hands covering his face, and perhaps unaware that a mural of Christ with outstretched arms hovers above him.
