A mother and daughter stroll through Tokyo’s Hibiya Park in this colorful and modern scene. Opened in 1903 near the Tokyo Imperial Palace, Hibiya Park is known for its vibrant flower gardens filled with azaleas and hydrangeas. Towering above is the Hibiya Public Hall, or Shisei Kaikan, built in 1929. Constructed in a Western, Gothic style, this building once housed Kyodo News (formerly Domei News Agency) and Jiji Press, news organizations that are still in operation today.
