One of the accoutrements in a scholar's studio, a jar of this type was used for dripping water onto an inkstone. This water jar has an opaque bluish tone in places. Its globular form seems slightly tilted as if it was made on an unbalanced wheel, adding to the vessel's appealing natural appearance.
