One side of this mirror was polished to create a highly reflective surface while the other was incised with a winged female figure. Winged figures are common in Etruscan art for depicting supernatural or divine beings. Though the figure is clothed, the engraver has also shown the outline of her body, including an ornament encircling her thigh. This mirror was originally inserted into a wooden or bone handle.
