Singed on glass: Cristallerie de Galle a Nancy; on base: Cardeilhac et al; The silver is marked twice with the French hallmark of a Minerva head, used in France from 1838 to 1973, First grade silver 950/00. This is an alloy of 950/oo of pure silver. The silver has the maker’s mark in a lozenge frame, comprised of: crowned Legion d’honneur cross, A croissant and the initials “EC” is registered at the Parisian Garantie office in 1851 and canceled in 1904. The Cardeilac firm was managed by Ernest Antoine Cardeilhac (1851-1904). per Barry Shifman, October 17, 2016
