William L. Carqueville, American, 1871 - 1946 (Artist)
William L. Carqueville received his artistic training fromthe Art Institute of Chicago, where he later became a teacher of decorative design at the School of Illustration. Having established his own lithographic press, Carqueville designed and produced monthly illustrations for the American literary magazine Lippincott’s from 1895 until 1897. This vibrant advertisement promotes the January 1895 issue.
