Carborundum mezzotint is an intaglio print in which the addition to the metal plate of Carborundum - a lubricated coarse abrasive - produces an evently pitted plane, and a dark painterly effect of softness and undulation in the otherwise linear medium.
Signed in graphite below lower right plate line: "D. Thrash".
