Pitcher and box stamped four times on bottom: "B&M" in rectangle, unidentified maker, possibly Philadelphia. Both pieces carry the monogram "WCS" for Wilson Cary Seldon of Elizabeth County, Virginia, great-great-great-great grandfather of the donor, Mrs. English Showalter.
