Black-Figure Neck-Amphora (Storage Vessel) (Primary Title)
attributed to the, Painter of Munich 892 (Artist)
The elongated limbs of these figures and the pointed, curling edges of the drapery are typical of Etruscan art (Dionysos even wears fashionable Etruscan shoes). The god holds a type of kantharos (drinking cup) closely associated with him. On the back, is a scene of Herakles (Ercle in Etruria), the only known mythological depiction attributed to this group of artists.
