Printed in center: HUNTING RECOLLECTIONS. / PLATE I. / WARE HORSE--words so frequently from the mouth of followers of Hounds, but who call themselves Fox-Hunters. / PLATE II. / SO MUCH FOR YOUR PEPPER--is often said in anger by some who are in the habit of pushing off their Horses / at score, and then keeping them at their top speed. / PLATE III. / MY HORSE CAN ALMOST FLY--so said Captain B. and the same day did prove it, by getting over the Chauntry- / Park fence fourteen or fifteen feet down. / PLATE IV. / ESSEX, TO WIT--was the bye-word of the Meltonians who were lucky enough to be quartered in that fine Hunting / Country. / PLATE V. / PUSH EN SHARP AT IT--that was Will Butler's advice, but few could put a Horse's head so straight to a difficulty. / PLATE VI. / I THOUGHT HOW IT WOULD TURN OUT--was always Butler's composed consolation.
