Located on the east coast of North Korea at Mount Kumgang, Chongsokjong is the first of the Eight Views of Korea. Its name means “rock forest.” The unique, angular rock columns are the result of geological activity in the area, which included a nearby volcano. The pavilion standing alone atop the soaring cliffs offers a vantage point from which travelers can enjoy the sunrise and the surrounding scenery.
