Among this group departing from a station are attendants on foot as well as travelers on horseback and in a palanquin. The torii gateway of Mishima Taisha, a major Shinto shrine, is visible on the right. This print’s foggy atmosphere was achieved by using woodblocks with color gradation and no outlines, making backgrounds appear to fade into the distance.
