Red-figured oinochoe (Wine Pitcher) (Primary Title)
attributed to, Painter of the Edinburgh Oinochoe (Artist)
These elegant wine pitchers were probably made as a pair and have been attributed to an artist who specialized in painting such vessels. Each oinochoe shows a pair of women with objects (fillets on both vases and an alabastron-perfume bottle-on one) that suggests the scenes are of attendants helping their mistresses dress.
