Registration for VMFA Members

To accommodate the high demand, members-only registration for the following categories will begin as noted:

Studio School and Art History Classes (ages 16+)

Teen and All Children’s Classes

The Jason Jenkins Quartet seamlessly blends classic jazz standards with innovative improvisation, creating an electrifying atmosphere that captivates audiences. Their deft interplay across saxophone, piano, bass, and drums showcases each member's virtuosity while maintaining a cohesive sound. Swing is the order of the day. Featuring James Gates on sax, Anthony Dowd on keyboard, Jason Jenkins on bass, and Keith Willingham on drums.  Drink specials in Best Café start at 5:30 pm, and the music begins at 6 pm.

Hey, hey the blues is all right! According to the Chicago Blues Guide, "Kurt Crandall shines like a diamond on his latest release, mixing Windy City blues, West Coast swing, jazz, and more— showing why experts consider him to be one of the most stylish chromatic players in the world today." Featuring Kurt Crandall on vocals and harmonica, Dave Sherman on guitar, Andy Burdetsky on bass, Lucy Kilpatrick on piano, and Johnny Hott on drums. 
 


Dominion Energy Jazz Café | Atiba Taylor's Ascension Project

Atiba Taylor is no stranger to Jazz Café audiences. He has also performed at such prestigious events as the DC Jazz Festival, Richmond's 2nd Street Festival, and the Williamsburg Winter Jazz Festivals. The saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist will showcase contemporary jazz and some new compositions with Lucy Kilpatrick on keyboard, Juan Nelson on bass, and Brian Young on the drums. Drink specials in Best Café start at 5:30 pm, and the music starts at 6 pm.


After 5 Fridays:


After 5 Fridays | Dance After Work: Bachata

Friday Love returns to the After 5 Fridays stage with the rhythms of Bachata, a music genre from the Dominican Republic that contains elements of Spanish, indigenous Taino and African musical traditions. Come hear the music and dance through the night! Drink Specials from Best Café start at 5:30 pm and the dancing begins at 6 pm.
