Actual value of rail tickets (max. total value of $400) may vary based on point of departure and dates of travel. The two tickets must be used at the same time and in conjunction with the following redemption guidelines: (a) Tickets must be booked for redemption at least 30 days in advance of use; (b) Tickets must be redeemed within one year of prize notification; (c) Redemption for Amtrak travel is not available for travel on certain trains and on certain times and 2013/2014 dates: Dec 28 – 29, Jan 3 – 5, Feb 14, Feb 17, Apr 17 – 18, Apr 21, May 23, Jul 3, Jul 6, Aug 29, Sep 1 and Oct 13. All travel is subject to availability. Certain documentation and requirements may be necessary for travel, such as photo identification. Winner and their guest are solely responsible for any documentation and requirements and determining applicable procedures and restrictions.
All travel on Amtrak trains is subject to Amtrak’s Conditions of Carriage/Terms of Transportation. Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be extended beyond the valid date. Winner and guest assume the risk of any inherent or unforeseen dangers associated with travel.
Any costs and incidentals not specified herein are the winner’s sole responsibility. Amtrak tickets are not valid for Amtrak Guest Rewards points. No upgrades, substitution, cash redemption, or transfer of prizes except with Sponsor’s permission (which may be granted or withheld for any reason) or where required by law. Sponsor in its sole discretion may award a substitute prize/prize component of equal or greater value if advertised prize/prize component is unavailable at time of awarding for any reason. If any guest is a minor, he/she may only accompany his/her parent or legal guardian (i.e., the winner).
All taxes are the sole responsibility of the Winners. For any prize with a fair market value equal to or excess of $600, Sponsor will issue the winner a 1099 Tax Form with the winner’s receipt of the prize being reported to the Internal Revenue Service.
